We offer a free introductory session to discuss your specific needs, answer any questions you may have, and consider if neurofeedback is the right path for you. This can be at our clinic or via video call or phone. This is an opportunity to clarify the way forward so that you can feel comfortable in deciding whether to go on to book an assessment.

QEEG Assessment (Brain Mapping) $775.00
The assessment includes a 90-minute session, involving a clinical interview and recording of your EEG. This is followed by a quantitative EEG analysis and developing recommendations. A copy of your analysis report will be provided at your follow up appointment where we will discuss the findings and recommendations. The follow up appointment is included as part of your assessment so does not incur an additional fee. A copy of your report can also be forwarded to your GP or other health provider on request.
Neurofeedback (Brain Training) Sessions
Clinic Based
Neurofeedback sessions last for approximately 50 minutes (including setup and debrief) and the fee is $200.00. Often 20-40 sessions are required, with some conditions requiring more to reach a point of achieving the optimal gains. The likely number and frequency of the sessions required can be clarified further in the introductory and assessment process. It is generally recommended to complete two sessions per week in the early stages of the program.
Home Based Programs
A home-based program enables you to complete the sessions at home at times that fit within your schedule. The results of your sessions are automatically accessible by the clinic. It is popular with clients who live in rural or remote areas, or where a significant number of sessions are likely to be required.
Overall, this is a more cost-effective option. Your program will be tailored according to your specific needs, so costs may vary. An example of cost is $700.00 per month for ten sessions per month. This includes hire of the equipment, support, and a monthly review (assuming that you are using your own computer with Windows installed). If you are doing fewer, or more sessions, then the cost would be adjusted accordingly based on $30.00 per session. Sessions that are not used in the month can carry over during the life of your program.
There is also an option to purchase the equipment required for a cost of $2,175.00 and purchase home sessions at $30.00 per session. General review, when required, costs an additional $200.00. This option can be useful if you have more than one family member who will use the equipment over time, or if you want the flexibility to space out your session frequency or do maintenance sessions in the future. Each person using the program would need to complete an assessment and have individualised protocols developed. We are happy to discuss whether a home program would be suitable for you and what the likely costs would be.
Counselling
Individual counselling sessions are approximately 50 minutes in duration and the fee is $220.00.
Couple and family counselling fee is $240.00 for one hour and $320.00 for 90 mins.
Report Writing
There is no charge for the making of session notes on your client file nor for completing letters to doctors required periodically when referred under a Mental Health Care Plan.
Other reports, applications for funding or other associated work is charged at a rate of $200.00 per hour charged in 15 minute increments (this is with the exception of referring or service organisations that have their own established arrangements).
Supervision and Mentoring
Matt Leggett offers clinical supervision and mentoring sessions for other practitioners, including those fulfilling the mentoring and practice requirements to become certified in neurofeedback and QEEG.
Supervision / mentoring cost is $200.00 plus GST. When booking a package of 10 sessions, the session fee is $175.00 plus GST. Group mentoring sessions are sometimes available.
Referrals and Rebates
For clients paying privately, a referral is not required.
For individual counselling, a Medicare rebate may be available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year when referred by a GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician under a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Couple and family therapy sessions do not attract a Medicare rebate.
Rebates for counselling may be available from some private health insurance companies, depending on the policy and the level of cover (please check with your insurance company for more information).
Neurofeedback and QEEG services are not eligible for a Medicare rebate and must be paid privately in full. If you are referred for counselling under an Mental Health Treatment Plan and are doing both counselling and neurofeedback, then the neurofeedback is billed separately, with a separate invoice issued.
As of October 2024, NDIS generally no longer funds neurofeedback as part of its therapy supports. Please talk with your plan manager if you require further clarification.
Cancelling or Rescheduling Appointments
Cancellation of counselling and neurofeedback appointments with under 48 hours' notice will be charged at 50% of the consultation fee. It is usually not possible for us to book other clients in at short notice, as many clients have booked ahead with a pre-existing schedule. The clinic may waive your fee at their discretion in exceptional circumstances but it is assumed the the cancellation fee will generally be charged.
QEEG assessment bookings require a $200.00 deposit which is deducted from the total assessment fee of $775.00. The remaining balance is payable at the time of the assessment session. If the client misses or cancels the appointment with under 48 hours' notice, the booking fee will be retained. If Enhance Neurofeedback needs to cancel the appointment due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. clinician illness) then the deposited will be refunded and/or a new appointment will be offered.
